Macfarlanes advises Ancala Partners on joint venture with Peel Group

Macfarlanes has advised London-based infrastructure investment manager Ancala Partners LLP (Ancala) on its joint venture with Peel Group, a private real estate investment company headquartered in Manchester.

Ancala has acquired a 50 per cent stake in Peel Group’s existing utilities business to launch a new joint venture, Leep Utilities. This multi-utility operator will expand on Peel Group’s current platform, providing investment opportunities to capitalise on the growth in independent gas, electricity, district heating and water networks.

The Macfarlanes team for this matter was led by corporate partners Nicholas Barclay and Jessica Adam, with assistance from corporate solicitor Rosie Teo, commercial real estate senior counsel Matthew Coleman and commercial solicitor Jonathan Morgan.
