Macfarlanes advises Audiotonix's management team on its sale to Astorg

Macfarlanes has advised the management team of Audiotonix, a leading manufacturer of audio mixing consoles, on its sale from Epiris, a UK-based private equity fund manager, to Astorg, a European private equity group.

Having initially acquired Allen & Heath in 2013, Epiris brought together two further firms specialising in other areas of sound production the following year, Calrec and DiGiCo, and the resulting company was named Audiotonix. The merging of these three distinct brands has made Audiotonix the market leader in audio mixing equipment globally.

The lead partner on this matter was corporate and M&A partner Stephen Drewitt, with assistance from corporate and M&A solicitor Nick Matthew.

Subject to regulatory approval, the deal is expected to close within the first quarter of 2017.
