Macfarlanes advises Incisive Media on sale to InfoPro Digital

Macfarlanes has advised Incisive Media, Alchemy Partners’ portfolio company, on the sale of its Insight division to Infopro Digital, a leading French business to business publisher.

The company’s Insight division focuses on providing professional information services to the financial, risk, insurance and financial technology markets, and comprises a number of well-known brands and industry events such as Risk.net and the British Insurance Awards. Additionally, in June 2015 Incisive acquired Chartis, a specialist provider of compliance and risk technology research, which grew the division further.

Alchemy Partners is a long-standing client of Macfarlanes and the firm also has a long history with Incisive Media having advised them on a number of transactions since they first became a client in 2005, including the recent sale of Legal Week to The American Lawyer.  

The Macfarlanes advisory team for this matter was led by corporate and M&A partner Ian Martin, with assistance from senior counsel William David and solicitor Natalie Glass.    

The deal is due to complete in mid-April 2017.
