Macfarlanes advises Revolution Bars Group plc on its recommended takeover

Macfarlanes has advised Revolution Bars Group plc, a leading operator of premium bars in the UK, on the recommended takeover offer for it by Stonegate Pub Company Limited.

Stonegate is the fourth largest managed pub company in the United Kingdom in terms of number of operating sites. Its offer values Revolution at approximately £101.5m and the transaction is expected to complete in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The Macfarlanes team for this matter was led by corporate and M&A partner Harry Coghill, with assistance from senior counsel Mark Slade and senior solicitor Max Mittasch, together with other members of the corporate team. Tax partner Robert Collard also advised on share schemes matters.

Macfarlanes advised Revolution on its IPO in 2015, and for many years before that, so we are delighted to have advised it again on this landmark transaction in its history.
