Macfarlanes advises Searchlight on $2bn acquisition of Mitel Networks
04 December 2018Macfarlanes has advised leading private investment firm Searchlight Capital Partners on the acquisition of Mitel Networks Corporation, a global leader in business communications, in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $2bn.
The Macfarlanes team was led by corporate and M&A partner Harry Coghill and finance partner Kirstie Hutchinson, together with corporate and M&A senior solicitor Tom Rose, corporate and M&A solicitor Alice Fuller and finance solicitor Christine Dowdall. Pensions expertise was provided by pensions partner Camilla Barry.
Macfarlanes worked closely with Searchlight's other advisers on this complex, multi-jurisdictional transaction, including US and lead counsel, Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, and Canadian counsel Goodmans LLP.
