Macfarlanes advises H2 Equity Partners on carve-out acquisition of Acal BFi for £50m from discoverIE Group

Macfarlanes has advised private equity house H2 Equity Partners on the carve-out acquisition of Acal BFi, a leading pan-European provider of value-added design solutions, electronic components, and custom products across a broad range of technologies and applications from electric components parent company, discoverIE Group.

The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval.

The Macfarlanes team was led by corporate and M&A partner Alex Edmondson with assistance from senior solicitors Nicholas Page and Tom Trotter and solicitor Bryony Foley. Commercial expertise was provided by partner William Hedges and solicitor Robert Grant with finance advice coming from partner Malcolm Hitching and solicitor Valery Nformba. Tax advice came from partner Ceinwen Rees, senior solicitor Saba Palizi and solicitors Hugo Coleman and Rebecca Rose and employment expertise was provided by senior solicitor Chris Boyle.
