Macfarlanes has advised independent private equity firm Growth Capital Partners on its latest fund, Growth Capital Partners Fund V, which has closed ahead of target at £260m.

The fund received commitments from both new and existing investors including an expanded group of distinguished international institutions.

The fund builds on a successful two decades of Growth Capital Partners partnering with growth companies such as Bridewell Consulting, Hippo Digital and Flint Global, providing a distinctive and flexible funding model.

The Macfarlanes team for this matter was led by investment management partner Stephen Robinson with assistance from solicitor Catherine Born. Tax advice was provided by partner James McCredie.

Stephen Robinson comments: “We are delighted to work with Growth Capital Partners on their most successful fundraise to date, having also previously assisted with their previous fundraises.”

John Marsh, Finance partner at Growth Capital Partners added: “We are grateful to Macfarlanes for their guidance and support throughout the fundraising process to help us reach our fundraising target”.
