Macfarlanes advises Warwick Capital Partners on closing of third fund at $430m

Macfarlanes has advised London-based investment manager Warwick Capital Partners on the third vintage of its European opportunities strategy, Warwick European Opportunities Fund III, which has successfully held a final closing at $430m.

The fund received commitments from a diverse group of investors including existing Warwick investors, fund of funds, pension funds, family offices and high-net-worth individuals.

The Macfarlanes team was led by investment management partner Sam Brooks with assistance from solicitor Catherine Born. Tax and structuring advice was provided by partner Alicia Thomas and solicitor Joe Maughan.

Sam Brooks comments: “We are very pleased to have advised Warwick once again on the launch of Warwick European Opportunities Fund III. The fund was raised almost entirely during the Covid-19 pandemic and the success of the fundraising is particularly impressive given those challenging conditions.”
