In this publication we look at the recent case of Madoff Securities International Ltd v Raven and others [2011] EWHC 3102 in which the English Commercial Court ruled that it did not have jurisdiction to hear a claim by the liquidators of the UK entity against European based defendants (not domiciled in England).
