A new pensions directive – just in time for Brexit

The text for a new EU Pensions Directive has been agreed and is expected to require implementation by Member States before the autumn of 2018.

Whether the UK will need to implement it will depend on the timing of the UK’s exit from the EU and the terms of any agreement between the UK and the EU. The DWP have stated that they do expect to implement it.
