Right to rent checks by landlords

The Right to Rent scheme (the “Scheme”) was introduced by the Immigration Act 2014 (the “2014 Act”).

It was initially trialled in the West Midlands as part of a pilot scheme. On 1 February 2016, the Scheme was rolled out across the UK.
