Charles is a corporate transactional lawyer. Charles works principally in M&A and private equity, acting for corporates, sponsors and management teams.

He is recognised as a leading private equity practitioner and has been closely involved with private equity transactional work for over 25 years.  For the last 10 years his practice has covered a significant amount of secondary private equity work, involving acquisitions and disposals of large portfolios of limited partnership interests and liquidity solutions for mature private equity funds.

Lexington Capital Partners

Advising Lexington Capital Partners on a number of transactions, including a tender offer under US tender offer rules to provide a liquidity solution to investors in BC European Capital IX LP, coupled with a primary commitment to BC’s new fund BCECX.

Advising 3i on a number of acquisitions and disposals, including its disposal of Bestinvest, a regulated investment management and advisory business, to Permira.
