Paralegals

Our paralegals play a vital role within our practice groups. They carry out a broad range of work, assisting partners, associates and knowledge lawyers in providing advice to clients, as well as working with colleagues across the firm. From drafting and editing to legal research, no day is the same.

We support our paralegals with a bespoke training programme which covers the skills and knowledge required in their roles. In addition, our paralegals attend legal training sessions run by their practice group alongside trainee solicitors.

Paralegal experience is a valuable step towards becoming an associate. Paralegals at the firm can apply for our training programme once they have completed six months’ employment, subject to certain conditions. Paralegals are also invited to a training session run by the early legal careers team which provides insight and advice on how to proactively approach the process, and how to avoid some common pitfalls.

When recruiting paralegals we look for people who are self-motivated, proactive and committed to providing high quality technical legal support in a practical context. We also look for people who can demonstrate qualities that fit within a cohesive, supportive and friendly team.
