Macfarlanes advises Supermarket Income REIT on IPO
The company will use the IPO proceeds to buy a portfolio of supermarket real estate assets in the UK, with the intention of becoming a real estate investment trust (REIT).
The Macfarlanes team for this matter was led by corporate and M&A partner Robert Boyle, with assistance from senior counsel Mark Slade and solicitor Alex Critchley. Funds and regulatory advice came from investment management group partner Lora Froud and solicitor Jennifer Murphy, with tax partner Jeremy Moncrieff providing expertise on all tax-related matters.
Robert Boyle comments: “This IPO reflects a significant theme of long-indexed income in capital raisings this year. We are delighted to have assisted Supermarket Income REIT on this transaction and look forward to assisting the company in the next stage of its development.”
