Macfarlanes advises Supermarket Income REIT on IPO

Macfarlanes has advised UK-based Supermarket Income REIT PLC on its IPO onto the Specialist Fund Segment of the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange today, raising gross proceeds of £100m.

The company will use the IPO proceeds to buy a portfolio of supermarket real estate assets in the UK, with the intention of becoming a real estate investment trust (REIT).

The Macfarlanes team for this matter was led by corporate and M&A partner Robert Boyle, with assistance from senior counsel Mark Slade and solicitor Alex Critchley. Funds and regulatory advice came from investment management group partner Lora Froud and solicitor Jennifer Murphy, with tax partner Jeremy Moncrieff providing expertise on all tax-related matters.
