Macfarlanes advises Cboe Global Markets on completion of its acquisition of EuroCCP
The transaction will bring together two companies that have championed competition, open access and clearing interoperability in Europe. The acquisition is expected to provide the opportunity to pursue the development of equity derivatives trading and clearing capabilities in the region.
The Macfarlanes team for this matter was led by corporate and M&A partner Alex Green with assistance from senior solicitor Mike Birkett and solicitor Andrew Wheelhouse. Advice on financing arrangements came from partner Richard Fletcher supported by senior solicitor George Silber and commercial advice was provided by partner Malcolm Walton.
Alex Green comments: “We were delighted to have worked with Cboe on this acquisition which is an important step for the company’s growth strategy in the region. Following signing towards the end of last year, we are pleased to see the deal close.”
