Macfarlanes advises 17Capital on closing of fifth fund at $2.9bn

Macfarlanes has advised long-standing client 17Capital on its fifth fund, 17Capital Fund 5, which has successfully held a final closing at its hard cap. The fund provides preferred equity financing to private equity investors and fund sponsors, continuing the successful strategy of previous 17Capital funds.

The firm previously advised 17Capital on its fourth fundraise which closed with commitments over €1.4bn in 2017.

The Macfarlanes team was led by investment management partner Chris Good with assistance from solicitors Rooshin Vaghadia and Hannah Collinson. Tax advice was provided by partner Mark Baldwin and solicitor Robert Clarke and finance advice was provided by partner Andrew Perkins and senior solicitor Chris Barrett.
