Macfarlanes advises Alchemy on $90m investment in Apollo Group Holdings Limited
Macfarlanes has advised long-standing private equity client Alchemy on its $90m investment in Apollo Group Holdings Limited, the Lloyd’s specialist insurance and reinsurance group.
The investment was put in place with proceeds from Alchemy Special Opportunities Fund IV LP which Macfarlanes previously advised on its c.£900m closing in 2018. The investment will build on Apollo’s “hybrid model”, as a provider of underwriting and syndicate management services for third parties as well as its own insurance underwriting operations for Lloyd’s.
The Macfarlanes team was led by corporate and M&A partner Alex Green with assistance from tax partner James McCredie and financial services partner Andrew Henderson.
