Macfarlanes advises KLAR Partners on closing of debut fund at €600m hard cap

Macfarlanes has advised European private equity firm KLAR Partners on its first fund, Klar Partners I, which has successfully held a final closing at its hard cap of €600m.

The fund received commitments from investors including public pensions, fund of funds, family offices, insurance companies and consultants from Europe and North America.

The Macfarlanes team for this matter was led by investment management partner Chris Good with assistance from solicitor Benjamin Pape. Tax advice was provided by partner James McCredie and senior solicitor Shaul Steinberg.

Chris Good comments: “We are very pleased to have advised KLAR Partners on their fundraising. These transactions are not straightforward given the current restrictions on international travel, so to hit the hard cap with a large number of high-quality institutional LPs is a great achievement for the team.”
