Macfarlanes advises Zurich Assurance Ltd on transition of longevity swap
26 November 2024Macfarlanes has advised Zurich Assurance Ltd on transitioning its existing longevity swap with the National Grid Electricity Group (the Group) of the Electricity Supply Pension Scheme to Aviva, as part of arrangements for a £1.7bn pensioner buy-in by the Group.
The Macfarlanes team was led by insurance partner Andrew Barton alongside senior associates Alex Clothier and Emma Waters with support as regards collateral aspects from senior associate Xian Wei Yeo.
