UK non-dom reforms

In the UK’s Spring Budget on 6 March 2024, the Conservative Government announced the abolition of the current tax regime for UK resident non-UK domiciliaries and the creation of a new regime, applying from 6 April 2025, for individuals commencing UK residence (with transitional provisions for those benefitting from the current regime).

Following the General Election on 4 July 2024, the new Labour Government has confirmed that it remains committed to implementing these reforms, although some deviation from the original proposals is expected in order to tighten the new regime further.

This page sets out a timeline of our commentary and analysis of the announcements relating to the reforms as they develop.
