Tim acts on a broad range of commercial litigation matters for international and domestic clients, with a particular focus on the banking and finance sector, and competition litigation.

Tim has successfully acted for clients in large-scale complex litigation in the High Court, Court of Appeal, Privy Council, Competition Appeal Tribunal and in LCIA international arbitration.

His practice includes advising in relation to English law aspects of overseas proceedings, as well as in proceedings brought in the English Courts. Tim also has experience of advising clients in relation to antitrust and regulatory litigation in the English Courts, including cartel damages cases.

In addition to advising financial institutions, multi-national corporates, trust companies and high-net-worth individuals, Tim also has valuable in-house experience having been seconded to the litigation and investigations team of a leading UK bank.

Roskilde bank of Denmark

Advising Roskilde Bank in its successful defence of this landmark mis-selling (subordinated debt) claim, both at trial and in the Court of Appeal.

Complex securitisation dispute

Advising on a dispute about the effect of a complex securitisation transaction in light of one party’s insolvency, governed by the LCIA Arbitration rules and involving foreign applicable law.

Professional negligence claim

Advising the executors of an estate in relation to a multi-million pound tax-related professional negligence claim.
