Sam Shillam Associate
Sam works on a range of UK and cross-border tax and structuring matters, including investment management advice, M&A transactions and corporate group advice.
Sam has experience advising private capital fund managers on tax aspects across the fund life cycle, from fund formation and capital raising to deployment and exit, with a focus on tax structuring and due diligence for both equity and credit funds and LP tax review of primary, secondary and co-investment opportunities.
As part of his previous role at a Big Four professional services firm, Sam has experience of domestic and cross-border M&A and credit transactions, as well as corporate tax planning and operational matters. He has experience in corporation, partnership and individual tax reporting for private capital and hedge funds and their stakeholders.
Sam is a Chartered Tax Adviser and a Chartered Accountant. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
