He advises businesses across a range of industries and sectors on transfer pricing matters, specialising in transfer pricing disputes, the pricing of intragroup debt and real estate funding, and the valuation of intellectual property and other business assets.
Wai has extensive experience working with globally recognised fast-moving consumer goods and consumer services groups, fintech and financial services companies, telecommunications businesses, and alternative capital/investment funds.
His work has focused on resolving complex transfer pricing audits and contentious disputes involving HMRC, supporting business restructurings through tax-effective transfer pricing planning, policy and defence, and the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and compliance.
Wai has also helped a range of clients develop and negotiate advance pricing agreements (APAs), mutual agreement procedures (MAPs), advanced thin capitalisation agreements (ATCAs), and profit diversion compliance facility (PDCF) applications.
Wai is an economist and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
