Macfarlanes advises Quilam Capital on £300m investment from Wafra Capital Partners

03 December 2021

Macfarlanes has advised specialist investment firm Quilam Capital on receiving £300m of new funding from US investment firm Wafra Capital Partners.

The deal extends Quilam’s existing partnership with Wafra Capital Partners, which the firm previously advised on in 2019.

The investment follows the success of the first two years of the strategic partnership and the additional capital will enable Quilam Capital to make larger investments during the next phase of its growth.

The Macfarlanes team was led by finance partner Andrew Perkins with assistance from senior counsel Adam Caines. Corporate and M&A advice came from partner Richard Burrows and solicitor Alexander Cibulskis, with tax expertise provided by partner Jeremy Moncrieff and solicitor George Apps.

Andrew Perkins comments: “We are proud to continue our working relationship with Quilam Capital, with this deal highlighting Quilam’s exceptional growth and ambition to become Europe’s leading investor in the speciality finance market.”
