Macfarlanes advises Audiotonix management team on sale to PAI Partners

03 May 2024

Macfarlanes has again advised the management team of Audiotonix, a market-leader in the design, engineering and manufacture of professional audio mixing consoles, production S/W and ancillary solutions, as French private equity group, PAI Partners, acquires a majority stake in the business from previous owner, Ardian.

Ardian, having first acquired the majority interest in Audiotonix in March 2020, will continue to hold a minority stake in the audio equipment maker, alongside the management team of Audiotonix.

As longstanding clients of the firm, Macfarlanes has advised the Audiotonix team on two previous transactions including its sale from UK-based private equity fund manager Epiris to European private equity group Astorg, and the subsequent sale from Astorg to French private equity group Ardian.

James Gordon CEO, comments “Going into a process with Macfarlanes by your side provides our team with the confidence of knowing we are getting the best advice and human interface a management team could ever require.”

The Macfarlanes team was led by Corporate and M&A partner Stephen Drewitt with assistance from senior associate Emma Bailey.
