Macfarlanes advises Siris on £673m recommended bid for Equiniti Group plc

Macfarlanes has worked alongside Wachtell Lipton in advising private equity firm Siris Capital Group, LLC on its recommended all-cash £673m offer for Equiniti Group plc.

Siris is a leading private equity firm that invests primarily in technology companies with mission-critical products and services, and has raised nearly $6bn in cumulative capital commitments. Equiniti is an international technology-led services and payments specialist, with over 5,000 employees across 120 countries supporting 36 million people. 

The transaction, which is subject to Equiniti shareholder approval as well as customary regulatory and other conditions, is expected to complete in the fourth quarter of 2021.

The Macfarlanes team was led by corporate and M&A partners Richard Burrows and Tom Rose, alongside finance partner Kirstie Hutchinson.
